Do you need more information?
HR has grown into a strategic pillar that helps both the organization and its employees to make a sustainable transformation. If you opt for a master's degree in HRM, you choose a special career path in which you can help make a difference for people and organizations alike. At AMS we will provide you with the right luggage and mindset to give you a flying start.
This program has a specific group dynamic. The values that reside in the broader HR community (respect, ownership, team spirit, flexibility, creativity, consideration…) are stimulated from the very beginning. Students actively liaise with and esta¬blish relationships with current HR/OD (top) professionals and program alumni.
The icing on the cake of this master’s program is a real-life in-company project. For 8 weeks, you will work in teams of two or three students as on a consultancy project, assisted by an academic advisor. The different teams work intensively on a challenging business case and deliver a complete report with new, practical insights.
At AMS you embark on a personal development journey through which you will grow as a person and future leader. With the GLS track, we challenge and coach you to become more aware of who you are, how you cooperate with others, and what kind of career you want to pursue.
We will support you in understanding your strengths and needs, and defining your areas for growth. We will coach you in developing your leadership skills.
Global Leadership Skills development is more than a ‘nice to have’, it is a basic prerequisite for career success and recruiters will be assessing this when you apply for a job. Today’s employers are looking for an impressive set of soft skills when selecting young graduates. These include: self-awareness, the ability to work collaboratively with others, leadership skills, the capacity to adapt to new situations and to develop new skills, openness to and respect for different perspectives, multicultural awareness, and long-term and system thinking, to name just a few.
This course aims to support you in developing these skills and in finding a match between who you are and what the world of employment needs; between your career ambitions and what employers are looking for.
Throughout the academic year, several activities will be organized at AMS by the Career Management Services to get you in contact with the job market.
The Career Center has close ties to many Belgian and international organizations, including top headhunters, and is run by counselors with experience in recruitment.
We will help you explore your talents, interests and needs, relate these to what companies offer in terms of jobs and career opportunities, and prepare yourself for job interviews and assessments.
During your year at AMS, the following activities will be organized:
As an AMS student you will have access to the AMS job platform. In this online Career Center, both Belgian and international companies post exclusive AMS job opportunities and have access to your CV. We also offer you an overview of the companies for which our alumni are now working.
AMS alumni are hired by start-ups, small businesses & multinationals. AMS alumni are happy to mentor you in your search for the perfect starting position.
